Alicia Leon Smith-Marshall was born on February 20, 1964 in Sequin, Texas (Guadalupe County) to Thelma Satterwhite-Fennell and Willie Fennell, Sr.
Alicia graduated from Gonzales High School. She took a liking to the healthcare field, and ultimately became psychiatric nursing supervisor for the Austin State Hospital where she retired after 22 years of service.
She was an active choir member and mission teacher. She married her husband, Kevin Marshall on October 30th of 2004.
Alicia was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by: Willie Fennell, Sr. (father); Michael Fennell (brother); Mamie Smith (maternal grandmother); Jessie Satterwhite (maternal grandfather); and paternal grandparents, John and Mary Fennell.
Alicia leaves to cherish and celebrate her homegoing: Thelma Fennell (mother); Beverly Satterwhite, Pamela Fennell (sisters); Willie Fennell, Jr. (brother); Zaia L Marshall (Edward) (daughter); Brenton Fennell (son); Zanaih, RaShaud, Keshon, Kylen, Zariah, Allanah (grandchildren); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
